Is it just me, or is 'brb' one of the most used word while pugging or doing anything in GW?
It's rather annoying when nobody doesn't know how long one is going to be away, for example just right in middle of a mission or vanquish.. And in most cases, the person with all the healer heroes etc. will brb most of the time, making life a bit ankward for other players.
Personally I've seen some funny, some not-so-funny brb's and regular brb's.

Explanation of "brb":
Be Right Back

Here is a ridiculously badly written list of different brb's and their estimated durations. Ridiculously unnecessary, but still, ridiculously ridiculous.

"brb dinner": 2-30 minutes
You'll meet this one usually in the middle of a tedious vanquish or series of speed clears etc.. If the team accepts to wait this dinner-hero, it would be good to remember the nature of dinners. Not many of us eats in less than 10 minutes. Though if one gets the dinner and plays meanwhile, this will reduce the brb time remarkably.

"brb wc": 2-15 minutes
One of the most often met in missions and vanquishing. This little beast is known of its kinda hazardous random duration. Extra words like "second" or "two" might increase the duration from the rather smallish 2 minutes to over 15 minutes of struggle and triumph.

"brb my cat is raping my drapes": 1-5 minutes
Ahh.. Cats. Well, either they give up or.. they just continue to tease you.
The brb-time depends on how old and agile the cat is. This won't take long so don't worry about this one.

"brb mouse died": 0-5 minutes
No. Not a real mouse. Some of us use wireless ..things. This one depends on how prepared the player is. One could have a replace mouse right in their drawer, others start to search possible backup batteries etc.

"brb children": 10-120 minutes
Don't expect the person to come back at all on this one.. nobody knows what will happen at the off-stage, but it ain't pretty. Changing diapers, settling an argue.. It might be anything. If this goes on, you better hope the brb'er ain't your monk.

"brb getting one skill": 1-5 minutes
This ain't bad.. better just if someone has a tome or something, as some party leaders just take another player in when the one leaves for his skill.

"brb phone": 1 - 5(30) minutes
Ohh... The long phonecalls you have with your girlfriend or mom in the middle of the night.. while playing GW. Not good. The player might play meanwhile talking, but that'll reduce his capability to play in a strange way.. Character just stops suddenly.. Healing stops, you notice your party isn't killing anything, bonds break.. This starts to look like you shouldn't have any other life than GW to keep people happy. Oww

"brb": 30 sec / Disconnect
This could be anything. You can't really determine what is going on on the other end, but you should be prepared to the worst. Not that you should always be like "Halp, we can't make this!", but note that the person doesn't give any clue what he/she is going to do meanwhile your party is getting wiped by lvl 5 flamingos.

So, what's your excuse to brb in gw, can I make this list a bit longer?

that's all I use brb's for...
I like to keep the acronyms more detailed:

bbiab: 10-20 mins
bbl: 2-3-4 hours, usually log off
bb: log off

Seems to me, a lot of people don't actually know that "brb" stands for "Be Right Back", and think it's the same as "afk"... :-P

brb phone/door I hate these,you never know you long its gonna take and if your unlucky youll be busy for half an hour.

I dont have a wireless mouse atm anymore sadly,but when I did it never took more then 30 seconds since I had the other set of rechargable batteries waiting.

Avoid stupid "brb's" by playing with friends/guildies - not PUGS(slow+50/50fail)

I actually had to brb today to "unplug my car" (pre-heating it in winter is a good idea before starting).. but for the love of human kind, I left the party at the outpost after a mqsc before doing that.. When the leader of the party leaves when there is only 6/8 in team waiting for the leader to pick up more people, that ain't good. ^^

Never done this, but it's 10min from my house so no more that 25min total.

mostly use the brb bio or brb food/drink. Both take very little time, especially since I can cut down bathroom time by skipping the hand-washing. Does make food taste funny tho...

I personally hate the people who give the generic "brb" and never come back.

Often times I won't see them for days.
